Our mission
We provide food to those in need
Our food bank was founded in 2009 and is part of the Czech Federation of Food Banks. It is currently the largest food bank in the Czech Republic.
A food bank is not a charity in the sense of handing out food it has bought. It is a logistical link: it collects surpluses where they arise and sends them where they are missing – as fast as possible and in verified quality.
We hold three things together: not letting food that is perfectly fine be thrown away; getting it to people who cannot afford an ordinary shop; and reminding everyone that the two are connected more closely than it seems.
